The speakers for the plenary session on the afternoon of Monday, September 11, have been confirmed, and the tutorials during the rest of the day have been set.
Dr. Michael Macedonia, Assistant Vice President for Research and Commercialization at the University of Central Florida (NOTE: NPS graduate, dissertation titled “A Network Software Architecture for Large-Scale Virtual Environments”, http://calhoun.nps.edu/bitstream/handle/10945/31461/95Jun_Macedonia.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y) will speak on the topic of cyber warfare during the plenary session. In addition, Mr. Jesse Citizen of the Defense Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office will provide insights on the needs of the M&S community.
A full program of 15 tutorials has been confirmed for presentation in three sessions, with five tutorials available (in parallel with one another) during each of the sessions. There will be two sessions on Monday morning, and one session on Monday evening. A single fee of $75 provides attendees access to all tutorials of their choice. We previously announced that the Tuesday morning plenary session will feature a presentation by former U.S. astronaut Dr. Story Musgrave, followed by a lunch (at an additional fee of $50) that will provide a photo opportunity and the ability to purchase an autographed copy of one of Dr Musgrave’s books.
