Hello! I'm a Research Associate and Ph.D. student in the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation (MOVES) Institute. I have thirty years' experience in development of military wargaming and C4I simulation software, including over twenty years' experience in management of a professional engineering staff. As a Research Associate in the MOVES Institute, I manage and perform research on a number of projects related to advanced modeling and simulation (M&S) technologies. Occasional teaching assignments include introduction and advanced courses in Extensible 3D Graphics (X3D) and the Extensible Markup Language (XML). My research interests include agent-based simulation and application of Web-based technologies to military M&S and C4I systems for knowledge representation and information exchange.

NEWS...NEWS...NEWS... A new course is being offered in the Spring Quarter 2005: MV4925 Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW). The course will be presented as a series of lectures/open discussions with lab times devoted to learning, exercising, and assessing a number of tools sponsored by the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO) and US Marine Corps. During the course, MOOTW M&S requirements, issues, and lessons learned from class discussions and student activities will be compiled to inform DoD M&S management and developers.
