NOTES:

  1. Denotes shared with Human Systems Integration curriculum
  2. MV4460 will be offered only once per year.  Spring entrants will take an elective in Q4, and they may also choose to take MV4460 as an overload in Q2.
  3. Given the brevity of this program, students must select a concentration block and thesis in Q1.  The purpose of this seminar is to prepare the student for the thesis process.
  4. Students will select one concentration area.  Any remaining courses will be electives selected with the assistance of the thesis advisor.

* Does not meet Navy P_Code requirements

Entry Requirements:

Any student wishing to enter the MOVES program under this plan must have a background in computer programming (Java or C++), Probability and Statistics.

University Minimum Requirements for Degree

The degree Master of Science in Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation is awarded upon satisfactory completion of a program, approved by the Chairman of the Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation Curriculum Committee, which satisfies, as a minimum, the following degree requirements:

a. At least 40 quarter hours of graduate-level work of which at least 24-quarter hours must be at the 4000 level

b. Completion of an approved sequence of courses constituting specialization in an area of Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation

c. Completion of an acceptable thesis in addition to the 40-quarter hours of course work

* While this accelerated degree program does result in a Master of Science degree, it does not meet Navy P_Code requirements
