The Naval Postgraduate School is an accredited graduate institution offering both master's and doctoral degrees. Located in historic Monterey, California, 120 miles south of San Francisco, NPS has nearly 1500 students from the United States and foreign militaries, and some civilians. The faculty (the majority of whom are civilian) are drawn from a broad spectrum of educational institutions and represent a prestigious collection of scholars.
MOVES is an interdisciplinary research and academic program dedicated to education and research in all areas of defense modeling and simulation. MOVES has a degree program leading towards an MS or Ph.D. in MOVES. Research staff are encouraged to attend courses in pursuit of advanced degrees.

Our research group was founded over fifteen years ago. We are leaders in large-scale networked simulation, agent-based technologies, human factors, and training.
