LT Mike Dolbec Thesis ResearchThe computer vision and image processing group at NPS conducts research in the areas of object detection, recognition, and tracking, hand gesture recognition, vision for augmented and virtual environments, and embedded processing.

Projects:

The use of multiple sensor types to allow for faster and/or more accurate object recognition and scene understanding.
SOnar FeaturesUtilizing computer vision techniques on sonar images to estimate velocity of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

Analyzing platform camera video to recreate an approach profile for pilots landing in an aircraft carrier environment.
