The MOVES Institute, here in Monterey California, is an internationally renowned center of excellence in modeling and simulation. We see ourselves as innovators and creators and our Institute as an incubator where new ideas are formulated and nurtured and eventually spun out for development. We are an objective, creative, outcome-oriented organization. Our uniqueness lies in the confluence of tactical relevance, technical expertise, analytical skills, and our ability to pursue an idea from concept to transition customer. We value openness and our unbiased, technology-neutral, nonparochial approach to all we do. Our expertise includes combat modeling systems, training systems, virtual environments, augmented reality, web technologies, networks, and interoperability. In addition, we excel in agents and artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction and human factors, education and distance learning.

Modeling and Simulation

Modeling and simulation is the use of representations of the world either statically or over time for the purpose of analysis for decision makers, training for operators, or acquisition for future system development. When compared to conventional training, field experimentation, or physical prototype development, models and simulations can greatly decrease costs while increasing flexibility and capability in training and analysis.
