Welcome to the MOVES Institute
The MOVES Institute at NPSThe Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California is a graduate university attended by all the United States Armed Services, the Department of Homeland Security and numerous international allies. It specializes in education and research focused on national security issues. MOVES Faculty and Graduate Contribute to Book on Virtual Environments for Training and Education Professor Rudolph Darken, CDR Joseph Sullivan and Research Associates Perry McDowell, Michael Guerrero, Daniel McCue and Brad Hollister contibuted to "The PSI Handbook of Virtual Environments for Training and Education: Developments for the Military and Beyond" which was co-edited by 1998 MOVES graduate Dylan Schmorrow. The three-volume work provides comprehensive coverage of the many different domains that must be integrated for Virtual Environments to fully provide effective training and education. Two Earn George Phillips Award The George L. Phillips Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation (MOVES) Award is presented to the graduating MOVES student or students with the most well-rounded record with respect to the Naval Postgraduate School MOVES program. Congratulations to MAJ Eric Whittington, USMC and LT Ryan Rippeon, USN who are recipients of the George Phillips Award for the September 2008 graduating class.
